Who we are. Gecko (“we”, “us”) operates the advertising platform at gecko.ad.

What we collect (minimum)
Account: email (for sign-in & account notices).
Billing: name, billing details. Card data goes to Stripe; we don’t store full card numbers.
Usage/Campaign: technical logs and behavioral metrics (impressions, plays, timestamps) to generate campaign reports.
Why we use data (lawful bases).
Provide and secure the service (contract/legitimate interests).
Take payments and send receipts (contract/legal obligation).
Show analytics/reports and improve reliability (legitimate interests).
We do not sell personal data. We do not track users outside Gecko’s own screens.
Who processes data.
Stripe (payments).
Google Firebase (hosting, storage, security logs).
These providers act as processors under their own safeguards.
Retention.
Account & campaign data: while you use Gecko.
Billing records: as required by tax/accounting law.
Then deletion or anonymization.
Your rights (GDPR). Access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, object; complain to the Hungarian DPA. Email privacy@gecko.ad to exercise rights.
International transfers. When data leaves the EEA, we rely on approved safeguards (e.g., SCCs via our processors).
Security. TLS in transit, access controls at rest. No system is 100% secure—use a strong password.
Children. Gecko is for 18+ only.
Changes. We’ll post updates here and update the “Effective date”.
